Like a game of hide and go seek, the thrill of seek and then discovery is one of the best feelings a person can experience.
So as you would understand my excitement when I discovered that there was a hidden garden in Paddington, Sydney.
A location which is so close to me and i must have walked or driven past this place many times, I can’t believe I never knew about this hidden garden.
Located on the corner of Oxford St and Oatley Road Paddington is the Paddington Reservoir Gardens. The gardens were opened in 2008 and designed by architects Tonkin Zulaikha Greer and landscape architects JMD Design who redesigned the complex into what it is today this sunken garden barely viable below street level.
It’s a great garden, it’s like a modern day Hanging Gardens, and what I found fascinating was that there was a Coffee Stand located within the gardens.
I think I might need to come back here during the day!
Definitely worth a visit if you are close by!
